Isabel Jenkins (CCNY ’16) is one of this year’s Project Coordinators. An International Studies major with a concentration in culture and communication, Isabel has always loved to talk to others about their lived experiences as a way to help them heal. Isabel was drawn to Project Speak Up Speak Out because of its emphasis on community engagement and acceptance of all types of people. She hopes to use her position as Project Coordinator to start new conversations about gender issues and healthy relationships, thereby breaking the silence and stigma of domestic violence. She believes in the power of knowledge and language in affecting change in her community.
